Columbia Housing & Redevelopment Corporation (CHRC) has been awarded its first ROSS-SC Grant in the amount of $271,956. HUD has announced approximately $37 million in FY 25 Resident Opportunities and Self-Sufficiency (ROSS) funding, awarding grants to 114 organizations. The FY 2025 grant term runs from June 1, 2026, through May 31, 2029.
The grants support service coordinators who connect residents with employment, education, financial literacy, health, and other supportive services to improve their lives and future self-sufficiency.
Services which may include healthcare coordination, benefits counseling, transportation assistance, financial literacy programs, peer support groups, and independent living support. In addition, the grant is designed to assist residents of public and Indian housing in making progress toward self-sufficiency by addressing educational, professional, and health-related barriers. Through personalized support and resource connections, the program empowers residents to achieve their personal and professional goals and take meaningful steps toward self-sufficiency.
